Cyclists Suffers Serious Injuries - Monday, 26th January 2015, 1:30pm
A cyclist has been treated by paramedics for serious injuries following an RTC in Wolverhampton this morning.
The crash occurred at the junction of Birmingham New Road and Thompson Avenue at around 7.00am. An ambulance and the crew of the Midlands Air Ambulance in a rapid response vehicle attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “Crews arrived to find a cyclist and a car that had been in a serious collision.
“The cyclist, a man believed to be 26 years old suffered serious leg and arm injuries. He received emergency treatment at the scene and his condition was stabilised.
“The man was then transferred by land ambulance to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham for further emergency treatment.
“The hospital had been pre alerted to the man’s arrival and serious injuries.”
