Monday 23rd May 2016 – 8.15am TRAGEDY ON THE ROADS
A motorcyclist has died after a crash also involving two cars.
It happened on the A518 at Loxley at just after 4.30pm on Sunday afternoon.
A rapid response vehicle, two ambulances, a paramedic area support officer and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Staffordshire were sent to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: "On arrival, crews found a badly damaged motorcycle, one car on its side and a second with front end damage.
"Sadly, it was immediately obvious that nothing could be done to save the motorcycle rider and he was confirmed dead at the scene.
"The woman in the car on its side was helped out; she had suffered minor injuries but was taken to County Hospital in Stafford as a precaution.
"The woman in the second car was assessed by ambulance staff but was discharged at the scene."
