discoveryMidlands Air Ambulance will be the stars of a brand new TV series next month.

The gripping new series of A&E will follow the daily dramas encountered by the doctors, paramedics and patients of Midlands Air Ambulance medical crews.

Viewers will also be taken into the region’s major trauma centre at Selly Oak Hospital in Birmingham.

Jason Levy from Midlands Air Ambulance says “This is a great chance for people to see the vital work that is carried out by Midlands Air Ambulance 7 days a week, 365 days a year. The charity has carried out over 30,000 missions since 1991. We receive no government or national lottery funding so are dependent on kind donations from the public to enable us to keep saving lives across the region.

The 20 episodes of A&E will be shown every Wednesday at 9pm from the 5th May and repeated the following Sunday at 10pm on the Discovery Home and Health Channel.

EPISODES 1 to 10
The first ten episodes will start transmission at 9pm on Wednesday May 5th and they will be shown, in pairs, weekly.

EPISODES 11 to 20
Second half of the series (episodes 11 to 20) will start transmission at 9pm on Wednesday October 6th, in pairs, weekly.
