Full Steam Ahead
Posted on July 28, 2010 by Midlands Air Ambulance

steamBarton’s sixth annual Steam Rally was held earlier this month in aid of Midlands Air Ambulance.

On Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th July twelve full size and seven miniature steam engines rolled into Needwood Rise Farm in Barton Gate, Barton Under Needwood.

The Steam Rally also featured local crafts and artwork, fairground rides, food stalls, displays of tractors and old cars, live entertainment and working demonstrations.

From 11am arena events included displays by Bernese Mountain dogs, live shows by working steam engines and the skilful art of tractor balancing / a balancing act involving a number of tractors and a wooden plank!

For the past four years the Steam Rally has raised money for Midlands Air Ambulance resulting in £3350 being donated to the Charity, as well as a considerable amount to other selected charities.

Midlands Air Ambulance hopes that everyone had a brilliant time!
