Fundraising & Marketing Director
About Midlands Air Ambulance Charity (MAAC)
Established in 1991, MAAC is one of the longest serving, busiest and most successful emergency air services in the UK having completed over 50,000 missions since its inception. The charity operates three Helicopter Emergency Medical aircraft based in Worcestershire, Staffordshire and Shropshire with a supporting ground fleet of Rapid Response Vehicles. MAAC has an outstanding staff retention rate. This role is being advertised in preparation for the departure of their long serving Fundraising and Marketing Director.
About the role
This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the largest and most visible charities in the Midlands, which from a donor perspective is an incredibly exciting proposition. This is a key leadership role with responsibilities to lead an ambitious and successful fundraising operation, which is split between their established lottery, legacy donations and charitable activities. Developing and managing an integrated fundraising and marketing strategy, the Fundraising and Marketing Director will proactively diversify income to ensure a fully sustainable future for the charity.
You will be an established leader with strong commercial and business acumen who will support and inspire the team to meet targets and objectives. You will have a demonstrable track record in income generation across multiple funding streams, with experience of corporate, trusts and grants. Demonstrating strong emotional intelligence, it is essential that you have first class communication and interpersonal skills and are confident negotiating and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
If you have the ambition, skills and enthusiasm to lead the fundraising directorate to the next level, and the passion to work for an organisation that delivers a lifesaving medical provision to the community across Shropshire, Staffordshire, Herefordshire, Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and the West Midlands then we would love to hear from you.
Applications would also be welcomed if you were considering relocation for this appointment or taking the next step in your already successful and proven career.
Closing date for applications – Monday 26th November 2018 at 9.00am.
