Founded in 1930,Wilkinson has become a long standing high street favourite with over 365 stores across the UK selling products ranging from home ware, textiles, cleaning products, health and beauty lines, stationery to pet products and kitchen and bathroom goods. 

Wilkinson aim to help communities by supporting local registered charities that share their family values, culture and business heritage. Wilkinson staff were given the opportunity to nominate a charity they want to support in their local community, to this Midlands Air Ambulance Charity (MAAC) became Wilkinson’s regional charity for 2013.

Nine stores within the MAAC operational areas of Worcestershire, West Midlands, and Gloucestershire were nominated to dedicate their efforts to raising much needed funds to maintain the vital emergency service.


Wilkinson Dragon Boat

Team members from Redditch, Halesowen, Kidderminster, Droitwich, Cheltenham, Gloucester, Stroud and Great Malvern joined forces to form a dragon boat team and took part in three separate races against 250 other Wilkinson team members from the Midlands, South Wales and the South West.

The event took place on The Quay in Exeter, with eight boats full of Wilkinson team members and charity representatives taking to the water. The event raised an impressive £4,416 overall, which was split between five different air ambulance charities.

To date, Wilkinson branches have raised over £40,000 for MAAC and their support will continue throughout 2014
