DP Designs Take To The Hills For Charity

Staff from leading Bromsgrove-based fit out and interior design specialists DP Designs recently undertook a gruelling 12 hour overnight walk to help raise funds for two deserving causes, including MAAC.

Led by Director David Perry the team of five walked 40 kilometres across the Malvern Hills including the highest point of the Worcestershire Beacon which stands at an impressive 1,395ft.

David’s comments: “We wanted to do something that really tested us physically to raise money for Midlands Air Ambulance and Acorns Children’s Hospice, which is why we decided to do the walk overnight. The atmosphere among the team was terrific and although it was a demanding walk, we all had a great sense of satisfaction by the time we completed it. We even got to see the sun rising over the top of the Beacon at 5am, which was a wonderful experience.”

Thanks to their hard work and generous donations by colleagues, friends and family, the team raised over £2000 which will be split between the two charities.

Sarah Arnold, corporate fundraising manager for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, adds: “DP Designs are terrific and we’re extremely grateful for their fundraising efforts. We are dedicated to saving lives within the all important Golden Hour across the six counties we cover, and their donation will contribute greatly to our cause.”
