Recruitment experts raise lifesaving money for Midlands Air Ambulance
Award-winning recruitment specialists, Pertemps Network Group (PNG), have shown their commitment to a leading midlands based lifesaving charity by raising substantial funds this summer.
The family run, market leading staffing solutions provider, which has raised nearly 50 thousand pounds for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity since 2011, has supported the cause through two events this July alone.
Speaking of the financial assistance that PNG has provided to the lifesaving cause, Jon Cottrell, the Charity’s Corporate Partnerships Co-ordinator said: “We are truly thankful for the generous support that Pertemps have provided to us over the years, especially as they truly understand and care about our mission to save as many lives as possible.
Without the help of local people and businesses like Pertemps, none of this would be possible, as we receive no Government or National Lottery funding and are tasked with raising £7 million a year to keep our three air ambulances in operation.”
Pertemps sponsored the AIR25 Service Award at the charity’s AIR25 Celebration Party Recognition Awards and Charity Ball, held (on 8th July) as part of its 25-year anniversary.
The event, which invited business leaders and dignitaries as well as sporting and TV celebrities, was held at Edgbaston Stadium in Birmingham. It recognised those who have made an incredible impact on the charity, in terms of their loyalty, dedication and bravery over the 25-year history of service.
Following the arrival of a Midlands Air Ambulance aircraft, guests enjoyed a four course dinner, prestigious awards ceremony, silent auction, raffle and unique experience prizes in a live auction. The evening then continued with a celebration party in Edgbaston Exhibition Hall with special acts, live music, dancing, entertainment and a late night buffets.
Overall, the special celebration evening raised an incredible £154,000.
The leading community and charity friendly recruitment Group also raised nearly £1,700 for the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity at its Olympic themed summer party fundraiser (on 16th July) at its headquarters in Meriden.
Pertemps members of staff and visitors experienced a gold medal winning line up of activities held at the PNG headquarters in Meriden. This included a human table football, face painting, arts and crafts, crazy golf, rifle shooting, a disco dome, a photo booth, an under 5s play area, raffle and tombola at – all whilst enjoying live music, a hog roast and an ice cream bike!
The money generated from the summer party fundraiser included an additional £500 that was generously given by Pertemps lifetime president, Tim Watts, the son of Connie Watts who founded PNG over 55 years ago.
PNG has had a long standing relationship with Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, which relies on monetary donations each year to stay operational. In addition, PNG’s Meriden Charity Committee, based at the recruitment specialist headquarters, has in fact selected the lifesaving charity as it chosen cause since 2013.
Speaking of the financial help and fundraising ventures that PNG has provided for Midlands Air Ambulance, Leslie Lambert, Pertemps Corporate Charity and Events Organiser said:
“It is a huge pleasure, honour and great opportunity for PNG to show our support to a charity that has been providing vital emergency cover to the communities in and around the west midlands for 25 years. We are a family run business with community and charitable values that are an intrinsic part of ethos.
"We are pleased that we were able to raise such a huge amount of money that can help the lifesaving charity to continue to save more people’s lives year on year.”
All the money raised coincides with Pertemps family values and community spirit that includes helping important charitable causes.
