Free Will Writing Service Success

People across the six counties covered by Midlands Air Ambulance Charity have been taking advantage of the organisation’s Free Will Writing Service, and have collectively pledged thousands of pounds to help keep the vitally important emergency service operational.

The Free Will Writing Service is available to the over 55s and since the scheme launched in July 2014, dozens of people have either made or updated an existing Will, and as a thank you to Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, have left a nominal amount to the service as part of their legacy.

Jason Levy, fundraising and marketing director for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “Four in ten of the life saving air ambulance missions carried out by our helicopter emergency service are funded through Gifts in Wills, so this is a great mechanism to support the charity. I’d encourage anyone over the age of 55 who is looking to make a Will to find out more about the scheme and our partnership with the local solicitors’ firms.”

The charity partnered with six local firms:
Wall James Chappell, West Midlands
Rutherfords, Staffordshire
HallmarkHulme, Worcestershire
TA Matthews, Herefordshire
Graham Withers, Shropshire
Willans, Gloucestershire

The new Free Will Writing Service has been developed to raise awareness of how vital this type of fundraising is and what a significant part it plays in saving lives in the region.
