What a cracker! Over £6,500 raised for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity

Hoople today announced that staff had raised over £6,500 for their chosen Charity of the Year, Midlands Air Ambulance.

The company’s ‘Hoople BuddieS’ held their last fundraising event earlier this month – a Christmas Fayre held at the business’ premises in Plough Lane, Hereford. Together with the proceeds from a wide variety of events organised throughout the past year, including cake sales, an auction, raffles and weekly ‘bonus ball’ competition, £6,502 was collected.

The BuddieS met with Jon Cottrell, Corporate Partnerships Coordinator from Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, today to hand over the final donations. Jon said: “Hoople BuddieS scheme has proved to be a fantastic way to fundraise for our charity, and it’s great to see the whole team has got involved. The money raised will help fund two life saving air ambulance missions, and three new flight suits for the flight paramedics and doctors.”

Hoople BuddieS is a group of Hoople employees who work together to raise funds for the company’s designated ‘Charity of the Year’.  Midlands Air Ambulance was chosen by staff for a second time: previously, in 2012, they raised just under £4,000 for the charity. In 2013 and 2014, the chosen charity was St Michael’s Hospice for whom a total of £21,000 was raised.
