Education

At Midlands Air Ambulance Charity we are committed to helping young people better understand our vital emergency service.

Our comprehensive education presentation focuses on the Midlands Air Ambulance lifesaving work as a charity, giving them a unique interactive insight into the work of our Crew and our Fundraisers! All our presentations have been carefully planned with learning and teaching needs in mind. They are free to all organisations working with the Charity and with young people between the ages of 4 and 18.

The members of the MAA Team will be on hand to be give you an opportunity to experience first-hand the work of the Charity.

Participating schools are invited to sign up as Midlands Air Ambulance ‘Schools & Education Partners’ as part of which the Charity will provide you with safety lesson aids and promotional materials and arrange school visits by air crew featuring the Midlands Air Ambulance ‘Helipod’.

The Helipod is a mobile aircraft shell built from a decommissioned aircraft. It provides the closest experience to an air ambulance without having the need for one!

As part of the Education programme, participating schools are asked to support us through fundraising initiatives. Each school can set its own fund raising targets and methods whether that is fun runs, fancy-dress days, bring-and-buy stalls or sponsored silences.

Midlands Air Ambulance will allocate each school a dedicated Fund Raising Manager to help develop fund raising ideas and support for any activities the school wishes to undertake.

You can find out more about our member schools by clicking the School Members page. We have also got a great new kids section that the younger kids can interactive and play games.
