How to become a Volunteer with Midlands Air Ambulance Charity
With no Government or National Lottery funding, the charity relies totally on generosity of the public and local businesses to provide the donations needed to raise the operating costs of £6 million annually to maintain the service.
The charity is fully aware that without the support of volunteers and the goodwill of the public the service would not be here today. We are always in need of new volunteers to become our point of contact, within your given area.
Briefly, the types of volunteer opportunities available are:
- Attend cheque presentations from various groups and say a few words of thanks and possibly an up-date on Charity activities
- Attend venues and premises to collect donations through our counting tins
- Attend Local events, Shows, Fetes etc. to support fundraising an awareness
- Possibility of giving talks to the groups, organisations
- Assist in the day-to-day running of our busy fundraising office
We are very aware that we would not want any volunteer being uncomfortable with any request from the charity and we understand there could be restrictions on your availability; therefore please complete the application form and highlight where you feel you could support us best. We are extremely grateful for any time that you are able to afford.
Should you have any questions in the meantime please contact Alison Hill on 0800 8 40 20 40 and she will be pleased to answer any queries or concerns you may have.
We would be grateful if you could return this form as soon as possible, together with the names and addresses of two referees are who would be able to comment on your application. You should also enclose two passport-sized photographs. Please be aware that all our Volunteers are required to have a completed CRB Check in addition to the charity application form, this will be sent on to you once your application has been received.
Thank you once again for your support and I look forward to welcoming you on board.
