Gifts in a Will

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity was founded in 1991 and up until 2009 was formerly known as County Air Ambulance. We are the only Charity that directly funds the 3 Air Ambulances serving the communities of Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, West Midlands and Worcestershire.

In the last 12 months, 4 out of 10 incidents we have responded to at Midlands Air Ambulance was funded by a 'Gift in a Will'. That's something that every donor who has supported the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity can take credit for, because every single donation helps to ensure that we are there when it matters.

It may be the right time for you to make a will, or, you may be able to make a change to an existing will with a supplement (CODICIL). No matter how large or small, remembering Midlands Air Ambulance Charity in your legacy can make a huge difference. It may even save a life.

If you are interested in making a 'Gift in a Will', the below will give you some useful advice should you choose to make Midlands Air Ambulance Charity part of your Legacy. Additionally the PDF downloads will help guide you to ensure the correct information and give you a better understanding of legal terms. Midlands Air Ambulance Charity part of your Legacy

If you have already made a Will

If you have already made a Will, but would like to leave a gift to Midlands Air Ambulance, you can do so by making a simple addition to your existing Will. This is called a codicil. By adding this supplement to your Will you can include new instructions and delete old ones without having to go through the task of revoking the whole Will.

If you need to make a Will

It is very important that you make a Will to ensure it reflects your wishes and current circumstances. You should consult a practicing solicitor and although you will have to pay a fee, you will receive professional advice in making decisions about your estate.

Two ways to give to the Charity

  • Pecuniary gift - you can choose to give a gift of a fixed amount of money
  • Residuary gift - you can choose to leave a share, or the whole, of what is left in your estate once you have provided for your loved ones.
