A Big Win for Ledbury's Milk Lady

Ledbury’s resident milk lady has won the top prize of £5000 in the Midlands Air Ambulance Grand Prize Draw.

Mrs June Green, aged 50 from lower Eggleton, received the good news after her winning ticket was pulled out at random.

“I was completely shocked when I took the call, I thought it was one of my mates playing a trick at first,”says lucky winner June. “I’m not quite sure what to spend my winnings on yet, it would be nice to get something for the whole family to enjoy. I’m pretty sure my sons will be more than happy to help me spend it!”.

June and her family have regularly supported Midlands Air Ambulance at community events and last year youngest son Michael, aged 16, raised £400 through the sale of mistletoe with the Ledbury Young Farmers. Michael knows more than most just how important Midlands Air Ambulance can be after he was airlifted last March following a quad biking accident in Bosbury.“Everyone knows that Midlands Air Ambulance is an incredibly worthwhile Charity but it really hits home when one of your children is airlifted.”

Runner-up prizes have also been handed out to five additional winners, bringing the total give-away value to £5500.

Congratulations June!
