Calling all runners!

Are you up to the challenge of running the 2011 London Marathon?

Midlands Air Ambulance has only five places remaining and is inviting you to put your best foot forward in aid of the charity.

Taking place on the 17th April 2011 the marathon will take in excess of 36,000 runners on a 26 mile challenge through the capital city.

“The Virgin London Marathon is the biggest in the World and one of the most anticipated fundraising sporting events in the UK calendar. This is the first time we have managed to acquire some places and it’s great that it also falls in our 20th Anniversary Year! So here’s your chance to take part” says Head of Fundraising Jason Levy.

“Not only will you be achieving a life-long ambition but you will also be raising money for a charity that saves countless lives across the Midlands each year. If you think you’ve got what it takes pick up the phone and give us a call as places will go fast.”

Midlands Air Ambulance needs each runner to raise a minimum of £3,000 for the charity. The London Marathon has raised over £450 million for charity since it began in 1981 and holds the Guinness World Record for being the largest fundraising event in the world.
