Celebrity Support For Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s Airbase Open Day

Irish heavyweight boxing legend, ‘Big Joe Egan’, actor & former British, European & World Kickboxing Champ, Waine Turner and former professional snooker player turned sports commentator, Willie Thorne, will be attending throughout the day.

From 10am until 4pm, visitors to the family friendly event will have the opportunity to meet the aircrew from the Midlands Air Ambulance, and tour the aircraft, with free entry and parking.

The annual Open Day is an important event in the charity’s calendar, as it helps to raise vital funds and awareness of air ambulance operations across the region. £7 million is required each year to ensure the Midlands Air Ambulance can operate, which is provided wholly by the generosity of public and local businesses, and with the charity celebrating its Air25 25th birthday there is no better time to join the fun.

Michelle McCracken , fundraising manager for the charity in Worcestershire, says: “Our airbase Open Days are a fantastic family day out, and with this year’s celebrity attendance, there is all the more reason to come along and support the charity.”

‘Big Joe Egan’, Waine Turner and Willie Thorne will be attending at various points throughout the day.
