Charity Rounders Match Raises Money for Air Ambulance

Following a successful charity rounders match, Morris Care’s Isle Court Nursing Home in Bicton, has presented a cheque for £200 to Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

Residents from Isle Court chose the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity as their nominated charity and the generous donation was handed over during a special presentation, attended by staff, residents and Ian Lloyd-Jones, a volunteer for the charity.

The money was raised when employees from Isle Court took part in Morris Care’s first annual inter-home rounders match, playing with colleagues from the five other Morris Care Nursing Homes, located across Shropshire and Cheshire.

Everyone involved had great fun during the two and a half hours of match play, all hoping to take home the coveted winner’s trophy and raise money for their chosen charity. The Isle Court Nursing Home team played spectacularly and won.

Margaret Maudsley, Chief Executive of Morris Care, said: “The rounders match was a wonderful way for our staff to all get together ,support a charity, and have fun at the same time!  The residents were delighted to be able to donate this money to such a worthwhile cause.”
