Daisychain Benevolent Fund marks donation with commemorative plaque

Since 2004 Daisychain Benevolent Fund has worked in partnership with Midlands Air Ambulance Charity and has raised £530,000 for the lifesaving rapid response service.

Charity Director for Daisychain Benevolent Fund, Greg Rowe, presented aircrew at Strensham Airbase in Worcestershire, with a commemorative plaque and a cheque for £101,00 – the funds raised in 2011/12.

This vital donation will be used towards funding future missions and infrastructure projects at the Strensham base. The plaque will be displayed in the new crew accommodation building until the new Visitor Hub opens in March 2013.

The Hub will be a place for visitors and supporters to view the aircraft in a safe environment and learn more about the donation funded charity.

MAAC Fundraising Director, Jason Levy said; "The donation from Daisychain Benevolent Fund is just phenomenal, we are very proud of the partnership and look forward to working together again in the future."

Greg Rowe added; "It has been a privilege working with Midlands Air Ambulance Charity and we are very proud to know that the donations we have raised through our Charity shops have gone directly towards saving lives in the local community."
