Fundraiser beats personal best

After a record-breaking summer of sport and national celebrations, one local fundraiser has smashed her own personal fundraising score.

Winning fever has spread to the online world of shopping where supporter Lynne Beckett sells unwanted items on auction bidding site eBay.

Lynne has been selling donated items online since 2009, and on September 8th, her online sales hit £826.85 - the highest amount ever raised in one day!

Sadly, the success was tinged with sadness as a family friend passed away earlier the same day. Lynne decided to dedicate the funds raised that day in memory of her best friends dad, Gordon Evans.

Lynne said; "Rose & I have been friends for over 30 years & it is an honour to be able to dedicate this money in his memory."

  • If you have items you would like auctioned online, Lynne can sell anything in good condition other than furniture, electrical & adult clothes. People can contact her directly on 01299 829719 and she can collect most items.
  • If you would like to bid for items in aid of MAAC search eBay for charityseller2009. The full amount of the winning bid goes to Midlands Air Ambulance so take a look and happy bidding!
