Hit New Book 'Poetry Giving' Comes To Life With Live Reading At Our Wellington Shop!
Poetry lovers across the Midlands are invited to a special live reading at the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity Shop in Wellington as author Anita Williams brings her latest release to life.
Just a few months after its release, Poetry Giving, a series of poems compiled especially to raise money for the charity, has proved a real hit. As well as being popular at the charity’s two shops and the website, the instalment has also earned rave reviews online on sites like Amazon.
With a share of the profits helping fund life saving missions in Shropshire and across five other Midlands counties covered by the service, Anita will bring the book to life with a special reading of a selection of the poems at the shop in Wellington on Wednesday, 15th April 2015.
The event will be open to the public between 5pm and 7pm and, while entry is free, those wishing to join Anita and representatives from the charity on the night will need to confirm their attendance in advance. Refreshments will also be provided and the shop, a regular award winner for its window dressings, will be decorated to create another stunning setting.
Eagerly anticipating the event, Anita, whose stellar writing career spans decades and includes other titles such as ‘Knickerbocker Glory’, commented: “Poetry Giving was specifically released to raise money for the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity and I’m delighted with how the book has been received and the reviews we’ve had so far.
“I’m really excited about being able to take that a step further and really bring the book to the heart of the charity and its supporters with the live reading in Wellington and it will be wonderful to meet some of the people who’ve enjoyed reading the poems.”
Shop manager, David Adams, added: “Anita’s warmth and passion for the charity is evident and that’s made it very easy for us to embrace Poetry Giving – it’s already been really well received by our supporters and this event will be perfect for everyone to get together and enjoy her work that’s helping keep our live saving service operational.”
Anyone wishing to attend the live reading in Wellington should contact the shop on 01952 641317 to register their interest with David, or e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. Those wanting to purchase a copy of Poetry Giving, which can be signed on the night, can do so here.
