Motocross Extreme Fundraisers!

The Market Drayton Motocross Club have taken their adrenline filled sport and put it to use raising vital funds for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

Originally choosing MAAC as Charity of Choice 6 years ago, the club choose MAAC after experiencing first hand the need for the service after a number of members required airlifts in recent years.

The club members took part in bucket collections at motocross race meets and in 2010 they got other clubs from North Wales and North Shropshire to get involved to help fundraise. This resulted in a Sky Dive and a Members Only Calendar, the club menbers are still debating which activity was more extreme! This year they had a Free BBQ and Bar at a motocross meeting and other donations came from Raffles and individual members.

Jason Levy, Fundraising Director for MAAC was recently presented with two cheques totalling over £2000! Jason said "Its amazing amount of money to raise and we a really proud of all the members getting so involved in such vast array of fundraising ideas."

Missions completed since 1991: 50,563 | On average we airlift a child every four days | Road traffic collisions make up around 35% of the incidents we attend | The service airlifts on average four horse riders each week.
