Nurses take over beauty salon

Sutton Coldfield’s leading creative hair and beauty salon has been taken over by a crew of fundraising medics this month.

Eight employees at Evie Clark have taken it upon themselves to raise funds for Midlands Air Ambulance by dressing up as nurses on various dates throughout February. The stunt was the brain child of hair stylist and founder of the salon Evie Clark in a bid to help raise awareness of the publicly funded Charity.

“We have always tried to support local charities and this month we decided that we should do a spot of fundraising for Midlands Air Ambulance,” says award winning stylist Evie. “The air ambulance receives no government funding so we thought we’d try and raise them some funds whilst having a bit of fun.”

The dressing up took place on the 11th, 17th and 19th February at the salon on Burnett Road in Streetly. The nurses’ final appearance will be on Saturday 26th.

As a thank you to everyone who has donated to Midlands Air Ambulance, Evie Clark is hosting  Mavala Day’s with discounted manicures and pedicures for all its fundraising customers on 23rd and 24th February. For more information call 0121 353 9588.
