Potteries entertainer, comedian and singer Pete Conway (Pete Williams ) is the latest high profile personality from the world of entertainment to become an ambassador and supporter to the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, to help raise awareness of its lifesaving work.
Stoke On Trent born Pete - father to legendary pop star Robbie Williams, was delighted to become an ambassador and supporter of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.
Pete has a particular affinity to the lifesaving work of the charity as a close friend of his many years ago was involved in an accident, in which the Midlands Air Ambulance gave him lifesaving treatment and airlifted him to hospital.
Pete was first made aware of the accident after seeing the evening news and then went to visit his friend in hospital later that day.
Pete who is retired and lives in Stoke On Trent still keeps his hand in the entertainment business and from time to time performs with son Robbie on his UK tours and special shows, where their duets have become a real treat to watch and a proud moment for father and son.
Pete Conway said; “It is an absolute pleasure for me to support the incredible lifesaving work of the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. Supporting local charities who support local people is very important to me. The air ambulance, their teams of paramedics, doctors, and pilots do an amazing job every day and rely on the generosity of the public to keep their life-saving service flying every day.
“It’s only when tragedies are bought home to us and we need to use the air ambulance service that we truly appreciate the value of this great lifesaving
service.
"I fully support the lifesaving work of this brilliant charity across Staffordshire and the entire Midlands area and would encourage the people of Stoke and
Staffordshire to help make a difference by helping the charity or making a donation so that they can continue with their brilliant work saving lives for another
25 years!”
