Ringing out with Christmas cheer

The bells will be ringing out this Christmas Eve when the local handbell ringers take to the pubs of Evesham and Harvington.

The annual handbell rally will see St James’ Harvington Handbell Ringers visit the Norton Grange, Queens Head, Golden Cross and Coach & Horses pubs.

Starting at 7pm, pub regulars will be treated to festive tunes including ‘Hark the Herald Angels Sing’, ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas’ and ‘Away in a Manger’ performed to help raise money for Midlands Air Ambulance.

The musicians, aged between 7 and 80, have been performing throughout December at various venues across the Evesham area.

Last year’s rally raised £2,000 for Midlands Air Ambulance and it is hoped that this year’s will do even better!

Midlands Air Ambulance thinks this is the perfect way to bring in Christmas and put a smile on everyone’s face. Happy Christmas to everyone involved!
