SAINSBURY’S kick start partnership with

Sainsbury’s REEDSWOOD have announced Midlands Air Ambulance Charity as their new local charity partner for 2011/2012

The store asked Walsall customers to vote for their favourite local charity in May and Midlands Air Ambulance charity was chosen after nominations poured in from customers keen to support the life saving charity. 

Staff kick started the 12 month partnership by holding a fun day on July 1st and raised £500 in customer donations.

Store manager, Paul Davies said; “Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is such a worthy local cause and we’re pleased and proud to be supporting it over the next 12 months. We’ll be letting customers know of our future fundraising plans and we hope they can join our colleagues in helping to support the charity”.

Amita Patel, community fundraising manager for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity said; “We’re really excited to be partnering with Sainsbury’s Reedswood over the next 12 months and would like to thank everyone in the community who voted for us. We will be planning more fundraising activities with the store colleagues in the coming months.”
