Thank you Keith!

An intrepid fundraiser has made his final donation to the Charity that has occupied his heart for the last eighteen years.

Keith Lane has concluded his ‘Flight for Life’ appeal with a £6829 donation to Midlands Air Ambulance, bringing his fundraising total to an incredible £208,000!

“Some of Dad’s success has been down to him as a character and his popularity within the community” says daughter Tess Riley. “His dedication to help people and devote his time to keeping the helicopters in flight has remained strong and he’s made his friends and family really proud.”

Fundraising became more of a struggle for Keith since suffering a stroke in 2009, leaving him wheelchair bound and reliant on the support of family and friends. Keith, however, is making a slow recovery and will always be a great supporter of the air ambulance.

Mr Lane was acknowledged for his impressive fundraising efforts in 2002 when he was awarded with an MBE.

“The support that Keith and his family have shown towards Midlands Air Ambulance is outstanding,” says Alison Blakeway from Midlands Air Ambulance. “His fundraising achievements are truly incredible and I would like to say a huge thank you on behalf of everyone at the Charity.”
