Worcestershire Challenge Is Perfect For Trail Runners

Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is calling on trail runners to take on its Pound the Bounds marathon on Sunday 1st May, which offers fantastic views of the Worcestershire countryside and raises vital funds for the lifesaving service.

The trail which is located in Rock, Kidderminster,  takes you through some fabulous terrain including woodland, pasture, riverside and meadow and at this time of year the countryside is at its most beautiful with bluebells and other spring flowers at their best.

If you’re not quite ready for a marathon, sign up for the 18 miles, half marathon (13 miles), nine or six mile walks, or take on the three mile treasure trail with the kids.

Michelle McCracken, regional fundraising manager for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, says: “Pound the Bounds features routes for walkers and runners of all abilities, and is the perfect location for trail runners due to the various obstacles and uneven terrain found in Rock.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity for the charity to raise vital funds, as each Midlands Air Ambulance Charity mission costs £2,500, all the money raised by walkers and runners will help to fund a future lifesaving mission.”
