Young Heroes Welcomed At Midlands Air Ambulance Charity Christmas Party
Youngsters from across the region enjoyed an afternoon to remember courtesy of a special festive party hosted by the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity at its Strensham airbase in Worcestershire.
The annual event recognises the remarkable bravery shown by children who have previously been airlifted by the charity’s life saving service, by reuniting them with the aircrew - this time in far happier circumstances.
Children and parents enjoyed an afternoon of festive food, fun and games including a chance to look around the inside of one of the charity aircraft and, most importantly, a flying visit from Father Christmas himself!
Jason Levy, fundraising and marketing director for the charity, commented: “It was heartening to see the children enjoying themselves and everyone was really in the Christmas spirit.
“In several of the youngsters’ cases, the Midlands Air Ambulance was called as their incidents were extremely serious, or even life threatening, so to be able to welcome them to one of our airbases and see so many smiles was very special.”
As well as thanking the young airlift heroes and their families for attending, Midlands Air Ambulance Charity would like to thank the businesses who contributed to the making the event a success, including: Morrisons in Winchcombe Street, Cheltenham, Drayton Manor Theme Park, Wilko Great Bridge, Blackheath, Tamworth and Cannock, Asda Community Life in Cheltenham, Seasons Photo Booth, Angie’s Animal Antics, The M&S Two Fairies Campaign, The Works, Cheltenham, Treasured Cakes of Tamworth, Tree Amigos at Morrisons in Rubery, JTF Walsall, Dawn Foods in Evesham, Wavelength Stageco Ltd, Abbey Butchers of Pershore, and The Entertainer, Cheltenham.
