Dave Williams

David Williams I’m 35 and married with a wonderful boy called James who’s 8. I’ve been in the Ambulance Service for over ten years, before which I was a medic in the HM armed forces. I’ve been a Paramedic with Midlands Air Ambulance for over two years now. I love my job. I start every day knowing that it will be different and will bring its own challenges. I also know that I’ll meet so many interesting people. I think that if I were not doing what I do now I’d be facing similar challenges in humanitarian work in Africa. As for my spare time – when I’m not on duty I can quite often be found up to my neck in mud, running over Cannock Chase.

Missions completed since 1991: 50,563 | On average we airlift a child every four days | Road traffic collisions make up around 35% of the incidents we attend | The service airlifts on average four horse riders each week.
