Pete Edwards

I've worked for West Mids Ambulance for ten years. Starting in Jan 2005 as a trainee Technician. Currently I work on a responder car based at Bloxwich in the Black Country.

I'm 35 years old and have two children; Gethin aged five and Jessica aged four.

I'm interested in motorbikes and have ridden my Trials bike competitively in events across the Midlands and Wales. I currently have two bikes but would like more! I enjoy an annual trip to the Isle Of Man to see the Manx TT races with my Dad. I spent 15 months travelling around Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia in 2002 - which is where I met my wife Ellie - before joining the Ambulance Service. I also enjoy scuba diving and playing the guitar.

It's been my ambition to join the Midlands Air Ambulance since I started with the Ambulance Service and I feel very privileged to be given the chance to work with such a brilliant team. It's an amazing job!

Missions completed since 1991: 50,563 | On average we airlift a child every four days | Road traffic collisions make up around 35% of the incidents we attend | The service airlifts on average four horse riders each week.
