Anne Diamond Supports Midlands Air Ambulance Charity
Household name and much-loved TV and radio broadcaster, Anne Diamond, is endorsing the vitally important work of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.
Anne, whose high profile career spans 30 years, will help Midlands Air Ambulance Charity in raising its profile and awareness of its charitable status with the communities the organisation serves.
Commenting on her endorsement of the charity, Anne said: “On learning that 2,000 people a year need to rely on the lifesaving skills of the aircrew at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, and knowing that each mission costs roughly £2,500 was quite startling, which is why I want to lend my support to this incredible cause.
“I was born in the heart of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s operating patch, in Worcestershire, and I called the Midlands home for many years, so it’s a charity I am keen to endorse. We are extremely lucky and grateful to have a world-class air ambulance looking after some of the most poorly adults and children in the region, reassuringly there whenever we may need it.”
Jason Levy, fundraising and marketing director for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, added: “No one expects to rely on an air ambulance, but unfortunately up to six people a day are in critical need of our advanced medical intervention. We can swiftly take patients to the most appropriate hospital for their injuries, and bring parts of the emergency department to the incident scene, helping to improve patient recovery and survival rates. However, our pre-hospital emergency service is completely funded by the generosity of the general public and local businesses.
“That is why endorsement from high profile supporters is so important to our continued fundraising. Anne’s support of our charity comes as welcome news and we are extremely appreciative of her assistance in helping to raise awareness of our charitable status.”
