Four men have been taken to hospital, two with serious injuries following a collision in Stourbridge this morning.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 8.38am to a collision involving a car and a van at the junction of Wollescote Road and Hodge Hill Avenue in Wollescote, Stourbridge and sent three ambulances, three paramedic officers, a BASICS emergency doctor and the Midland Air Ambulance from Cosford and a Community First Responder (CFR) to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Upon arrival we found seven men who were assessed by ambulance staff at the scene.
“The driver of and a passenger in the car were assessed and has sustained serious injuries. They received treatment from ambulance staff at the scene.
“They were both conveyed to Queen Elizabeth Hospital by land ambulance for further treatment.
“Two passengers from the van were assessed by ambulance staff and had sustained potentially serious injuries that were not believed to be life-threatening.
“They received treatment from ambulance staff and were conveyed to Russell’s Hall Hospital for further assessment.”
“Three further patients from the van, who were the driver and two passengers were assessed and had sustained injuries not believed to be serious.
“They received self care advice from ambulance staff and did not require further treatment. They were discharged at the scene.”
