As well as being one of Midlands Air Ambulance Charity’s doctors, Jon is a Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine and Anaesthesia at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust, and Joint Specialty Lead for Critical Care Services there. He is an Associate Professor at the University of Birmingham and has been active within prehospital emergency medicine in the Midlands for over 30 years. Jon is also a doctor with WMAS MERIT Service and a physician with Mercia Accident Rescue Service (MARS) and he chaired the Birmingham, Black Country, Hereford and Worcester Trauma Network Board for several years. He makes a pretty good loaf of bread, enjoys cooking, a decent IPA, and fermenting a wide range of edible things, and tries to stay active thanks to Joe Wicks, HIIT sessions, and sport climbing.
