For riders, horse owners, and the equestrian community
A practical course designed to give learners the skills and confidence to manage a casualty at the point of injury
This practical 3‑hour course is designed to give riders, horse owners and equestrian professionals the skills and confidence to manage a casualty at the point of injury before the arrival of emergency services.
Falls from height, kicks, crushing injuries and remote locations mean that serious incidents can occur suddenly within equestrian settings. This course focuses on managing those critical first moments safely and effectively.
The course covers key skills including scene safety and casualty management, with hands‑on practice under expert tuition. Learning is reinforced through realistic, equestrian‑relevant scenarios, reflecting incidents that may occur when riding, handling horses, or working in yards, fields, or rural locations.
Written and delivered by experts in pre‑hospital care, the course emphasises practical decision‑making, personal safety, and clear communication while emergency help is on its way.
