One man has died following a road traffic collision in Glewstone yesterday evening (Tuesday).
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the A40 in Glewstone at 6.27pm and sent two ambulances, a paramedic officer, the Midlands Air Ambulance and two BASICS emergency doctors to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Upon arrival, ambulance staff discovered a man who was the driver of a car, which had been involved in a collision with a HGV.
“Following assessment having been found to be in a critical condition, ambulance staff quickly began administering advanced life support.
“Unfortunately, despite their best efforts it became clear that nothing more could be done to save him and he was confirmed deceased at the scene.
“The driver of the HGV did not require treatment.”
