A woman has died and two other patients have been taken to hospital following a two-car RTC in Herefordshire yesterday (Tuesday).
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to Perton Lane in Stoke Edith at 2.34pm and sent three ambulances, a paramedic officer, a BASICS doctor from the Mercia Accident Rescue Service and a helicopter from the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival, crews discovered two cars that had been involved in the collision and three patients.
“A woman, from the first car, was freed with the help of fire service colleagues and found to have suffered serious injuries.
“Ambulance staff immediately began administering advanced life support but sadly, despite their best efforts, it became apparent nothing could be done to save her and she was confirmed dead at the scene.
“A man and woman, from the second car, were treated for injuries not believed to be serious before being taken to Hereford County Hospital by land ambulance.”
