A man has suffered serious injuries after an incident in Burntwood last night.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 9.10pm to reports of an explosion at a property on Chase Road and sent an ambulance, two paramedic officers, MERIT trauma doctor, critical care paramedic, a BASICS emergency doctor, the Trust’s Hazardous Area Response Team and the Midland Air Ambulance Charity Critical Care Car from Cosford to the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman says: “On arrival, crews found one patient, a man, with serious injuries.
“The man, who was in a critical condition, was treated by medics before being taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham for further treatment.”
