A woman has sustained life-threatening injuries following a collision in Little Aston today.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at 10.26am to a road traffic collision involving a van and a pedestrian nearby to Blake Street, Little Aston in Sutton Coldfield. Two ambulances, two paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma doctor and critical care paramedic and the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity from Cosford attended the scene.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Upon arrival we found a woman who was the pedestrian with life-threatening injuries in a critical condition.
“Ambulance staff quickly began administering advanced life support and advanced trauma care to her at the scene which continued en route to Queen Elizabeth Hospital where she was conveyed via air ambulance for further treatment.
“No further patients required treatment.”
