Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is spreading festive cheer this December, with a packed programme of Christmas activities at its Cosford airbase and headquarters in Shifnal, Shropshire.
From creative workshops and family experiences to meaningful moments of remembrance, Christmas shopping and the chance to win cash prizes, supporters can enjoy a range of festive activities while helping to fund the charity’s lifesaving missions across the Midlands.
Taking place at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, Airbase Avenue, Neachly, Shifnal, TF11 8UR, the festive programme offers something for everyone throughout December.
Crafting enthusiasts can embrace the festive spirit at the charity’s Christmas Wreath Making Workshops, taking place on Friday 4th December at 6.30pm and Saturday 5th December at 10am. Priced at £30 per person, the sessions will give attendees the opportunity to design and create their own festive wreath to take home, while supporting the charity’s lifesaving work.
On Sunday 6th December, Midlands Air Ambulance Charity will also host its annual Celebration of Life event. The special remembrance service will bring together supporters, crew members, former patients and families for an afternoon of music, readings and reflection, including the opportunity to place a personalised bauble on a Christmas tree in memory of a loved one.
For families, the much-loved Santa Experience returns on Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th December. Following the success of last year’s event, Father Christmas will once again visit Cosford for a weekend of festive fun.
Priced at £15 per child, each 90-minute session includes a magical meeting with Santa Claus, festive games and activities, seasonal refreshments, the opportunity to meet the charity’s lifesaving aircrew and a special gift to take home.
Adults can also get involved through the charity’s 2026 Christmas Raffle. Tickets cost just £1 and offer the chance to win one of 17 cash prizes, including a top prize of £3,000.
Meanwhile, supporters of all ages can browse the charity’s festive merchandise range, featuring Christmas cards, diaries, calendars, clothing, gifts and stocking fillers. Every purchase helps support future lifesaving missions across the region. Head to the website to order your items: shop.midlandsairambulance.com/
Emma Wood, Associate Director of Income Generation at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “While many of us will be enjoying time with loved ones this Christmas, our crews will remain ready to respond whenever they’re needed. By supporting our festive programme, people are helping us continue providing advanced pre-hospital emergency care to patients across the Midlands.”
Midlands Air Ambulance Charity receives no government funding for its daily operations and relies on the generosity of local communities to help keep its helicopters flying and critical care cars responding to patients across Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, the West Midlands and Worcestershire.
Places for the wreath-making workshops and Santa Experience are limited and must be booked in advance.
