Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is celebrating the third birthday of its Hereford charity shop, marking three successful years of raising vital funds to support the charity’s lifesaving pre-hospital emergency service across Herefordshire and the wider Midlands.
Since opening its doors on Commercial Street in July 2023, the shop has become a popular destination for bargain hunters, donors and volunteers alike.
The shop continues to rely on the generosity of local people who donate quality pre-loved items, including clothing, books, homeware, toys and electrical goods. Every purchase made in store helps fund the charity’s advanced helicopters and critical care cars, enabling its specialist clinical teams to respond to those patients most in need across the region.
To mark the occasion, local residents are invited to give the shop a birthday present by donating quality pre-loved items. They can also browse the wide range of affordable pre-loved goods on offer, with every donation and purchase helping to support the charity’s vital lifesaving service.
Amy Petherick, regional area manager at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “Our Hereford shop has become a real part of the local community over the last three years, and we’re incredibly grateful for the support we’ve received. Every donation, purchase and volunteer makes a difference and helps us continue providing our lifesaving service across Herefordshire and the wider Midlands.”
The charity is always looking for donations of quality pre-loved items and welcomes anyone interested in volunteering to become part of its dedicated retail team.
The Hereford shop is located at 7 Commercial Street, Hereford, HR1 2DE, and is open Monday to Saturday, 9am to 5pm, and Sunday, 10am to 4pm.
