Midlands Air Ambulance Charity (MAAC) operates and funds three air ambulances, three rapid response vehicles and two critical cars covering six Midlands counties including Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands.
As the most rural of our six counties, Herefordshire sees many of the agricultural incidents that we attend each year. Home to many small communities that may be hard to access quickly by land, people across Herefordshire rely on the expertise of our aircrew and the speed of our helicopters. Equestrian pastimes, farming, motorcycling and walking are all very much part of Herefordshire life and many of the population has been in contact with MAAC, either personally, or through relatives, friends and neighbours.
