A partnership between Midlands Air Ambulance Charity and Gandeys Circus has raised over £10,000 for the charity’s pre-emergency helicopter led service.
The longstanding partnership has seen Gandeys Circus host a number of special events to fundraise for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, which relies solely on donations.
Gandeys Circus is a spectacular circus production that tours the world, bringing audiences fast-paced stunts and shows from highly skilled performers. Earlier this year, the circus confirmed that Midlands Air Ambulance Charity would be the charity recipient at its carnival shows to raise even more money.
During February and March, volunteers from the charity attended performances at Trentham and Merry Hill to operate bucket collections. The funds collected combined with ticket sales donations has resulted in over £10,000 being raised for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity to date.
Jo Bailey, events lead for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “Our longstanding partnership with Gandeys Circus has allowed us to raise vital funds for our charity. We’d like to thank Gandeys Circus and the audiences that have attended performances for helping to raise over £10,000 for us. The funds raised will help make three air ambulance missions and three critical care car missions possible. The Gandeys’ team are always incredibly welcoming and inventive in their support.”
Robert Price, company director at Gandeys Circus, commented: “We’re dedicated to supporting charities here at Gandeys Circus and would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to every audience member, donor and supporter who has contributed to our fundraising for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. We’re thrilled to have been able to raise this level of funding to allow the charity to continue its lifesaving work across the Midlands.”
