Midlands Air Ambulance Charity invited local businesses and organisations to learn more about its new initiative, Flight Patrons, at a launch event held at its Cosford airbase on Monday 19th May.
Flight Patrons is an opportunity for businesses to engage more closely with the charity by supporting the vitally important ongoing advanced training, development and operational costs of its critical care paramedics.
Through a two-year commitment of £3,750 a year, the Flight Patrons scheme creates a tangible way of fulfilling ESG commitments for businesses by directly supporting the essential professional development of a cohort of critical care paramedics.
Participation in Flight Patrons offers a closer relationship with Midlands Air Ambulance Charity. Businesses will receive exclusive updates from the critical care paramedics involved in the scheme, as well as priority booking for events and volunteering opportunities.
Pam Batson, corporate partnerships manager at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “We’re delighted to have launched Flight Patrons at our event on 19th May. It was a great opportunity to engage with the founding patrons of the scheme and introduce others to the benefits of this unique initiative. Corporate partnerships are an essential force keeping us in the air, and we’re grateful for every business that has helped to raise awareness of our charity.
“That’s why we created Flight Patrons - to provide a focused way to meet the ESG needs of businesses whilst supporting one of our most important areas: the continued training and development of our highly skilled critical care paramedics.”
James Cloke, critical care paramedic at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “We work in some of the most challenging environments, and because of that, the standard of our training must be at the absolute highest level. Flight Patrons is a fantastic initiative, and I’d encourage any business that is interested in our charity to get in touch.”
The founding Flight Patrons of the scheme are Barratt Homes, M6Toll, Kelly Plant Hire, Pallet-Track, Lord Combustion, ISO Quality Services Ltd, EBC, Wall James Chappell, Tipton & Coseley Building Society and Sierra 57 Consult.
