Local businesses have raised over £54,500 for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity at its annual golf day event that took place on Thursday 15th May 2025.
The event, which was hosted at JCB Golf and Country Club in Staffordshire, is held each year to raise funds for the charity’s vital pre-hospital emergency service. This year the event celebrated its 10th anniversary and was attended by over 21 businesses from across the region.
All proceeds from the event, which is sponsored by Phoenix Group, went directly to Midlands Air Ambulance Charity helping to fund 34 lifesaving missions carried out by the charity’s advanced clinical team, 16 by air ambulance and 18 by critical care car.
Pam Batson, corporate partnerships manager at Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled with the success of this year’s golf day. It’s the tenth year that we’ve hosted this event and every year it just gets better and better. The money raised makes a huge difference and will fund many lifesaving missions.
“This event wouldn’t be possible without the support of our sponsors including Phoenix Group, Porsche Centre Wolverhampton, Brookbanks, WDPS Stoke Ltd, Hera Waterproofing, Nant Ltd and Currie Young, so we’d like to extend a big thank you to them all for helping to make the day a great success. A big thank you to Hardy Signs as well, who donated all of the signage needed for the event.
