A graduate from the London School of Economics with a degree in Social Policy, Waheed has worked across the public, private and voluntary sectors, regionally and nationally. He is an expert in providing support and advice on organisational change, governance, business development and strategic management. He has been instrumental in developing leadership programmes for young people and he mentors students at inner city schools.
Previously he gained director level experience in the NHS working in several strategic areas, and has been Chair and Non-Executive Director of major national and regional public and voluntary organisations, including Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health Foundation Trust.
Waheed is also a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, Member of the Association of Corporate Governance Practitioners and PRINCE 2 qualified.
