Rocuronium vs. succinylcholine for rapid sequence intubation: a Cochrane systematic review

Succinylcholine was the original drug for rapid sequence intubation. The introduction of rocuronium has seen this long-standing role for the drug challenged. This Cochrane review found that succinylcholine was still superior to rocuronium for achieving excellent intubation conditions although due to detection bias and significant heterogenicity the evidence to support this was only considered moderate.
