Job Summary:
To support the Shop Manager in delivering effective and efficient retail operations, including but not limited to: day-to-day coordination of staff and volunteers; ensuring excellent customer service; accurate stock management and administration; and impactful sales and promotion.
Working with the Shop Manager’s this role is fundamental to ensuring the smooth running of the shop at every level. Take responsibility of managing the shop when the shop manager is absent.
As part of the management team, you will support in ensuring your store generates income against a budgeted sales target, whilst also helping to control shop expenditure, as necessary.
Our retail team are a vital part of the Midlands Air Ambulance Charity (MAAC) Group, who help to promote the organisation’s lifesaving charitable cause. You will be expected to represent the charity in a professional manner reflecting our core values and beliefs.

 

About Midlands Air Ambulance Charity (MAAC)

Established in 1991, Midlands Air Ambulance Charity is responsible for providing pre-hospital critical care across the six Midlands counties of: Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, the West Midlands and Worcestershire. The charity also delivers secondary cover to surrounding areas, such as Warwickshire and mid Wales. Our services are provided by operating three air ambulance helicopters and three critical care cars, which serve the growing Midlands population of six million plus people.

Our organisation is registered with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) as an independent health care provider. To fund our operations, we rely on the generous support of the public via donations and income from our expanding portfolio of charity shops. We set our standards in line with leading industry bodies such as the Fundraising Regulator, The Charity Commission and the Charity Retail Association. We have also recently been accredited as a gold standard employer by Investors In People.
