Human Factors and Patient Safety for Clinical Leaders - 2-day course

This course has been written and will be delivered by MedLed

MedLed is the healthcare industry’s specialist in creating Safer Healthcare through combining Human Factors and Performance Science. Their wide-angle approach balances the focus of design and people bringing together the best of Human Factors & Ergonomics and Performance Science, along with other complementary disciplines. The  blended approach and diverse team of experts in their field some of whom you'll meet on your course is truly unique.

The greatest strength of any pre-hospital provider is the people working within it, the vast majority of whom work incredibly hard to ensure that patients remain safe and have positive experiences. However, it is vital to acknowledge the challenges these clinicians work under, time pressures, high stakes, imperfect information and dynamic conditions. It is these challenges that add additional complexity to pre-hospital care and can lead to subsequent error.

Human factors and patient saftey in pre-hospital care will take an iterative approach by describing the conditions and culture that can lead to harm.

This is a two day face to face course deliverd by MedLed offering a deep understanding of what can be learnt and translated, rather than simply transplanted, from across a multitude of industries and environments. This has led to the development of our unique Human Factors For Healthcare approach.
