If you’re a primary, secondary, SEND, independent school or college, looking to learn more about Midlands Air Ambulance Charity and to teach your students some vital life saving skills we would love to hear form you. Your local Fundraising Executive from the charity can deliver an in-person assembly for your students and leave you with a range of colourful resources to run your own sessions at your leisure.

Our talks explore the way our amazing crew makes a difference to the people we help and gives students the chance to meet the people who use their lifesaving skills to make a difference and even try their kit on for size to see what it might be like to work as a pilot, critical care paramedic or doctor. We’ve got great resources to match all ages for you to use after our visit so they can continue to learn.

Here are a few topics that our lesson plans cover:

  • Understand when and how to call 999
  • Understand the importance of cardiopulmonary resuscitation CPR
  • Demonstrate effective chest compressions
  • Understand what an AED is and how to use one

Once you’ve reached out via the online form at the bottom of this page, your local Fundraising Executive will be in touch to tell you more and book your visit.

Mission Support Skills Sessions

Due to the incredible popularity of our Mission Support skills sessions, we are in the process of reviewing their delivery, which will be improved to keep up with demand from schools across our six counties, and enable us to continue to give training opportunities to potential future lifesavers in the community.

Our Mission Support skills sessions teach basic CPR skills and how to control severe bleeding wounds. Cardiac arrests and penetrating incidents consistently rank in our top five types of missions. Both require immediate bystander support before the arrival of advanced clinical care teams, such as our aircrew, to give a patient the best possible outcome and to increase their chances of survival.

Please register your interest for future Mission Support sessions using the form at the bottom of this page.
