Richard has worked for West Midlands Ambulance Service since 1996. He started as an ambulance cadet aged 17, then progressed to working in the Emergency Operations Centre as a 999 Call Assessor. He has worked for MAAC since 2009. He feels proud working for MAAC and enjoys the extra challenges that the job brings each and every day, knowing that every decision could mean the difference between life and death. Although he is not on the front line, his work ensures that MAAC’s aircrew can get to patients and deliver the care they need as quickly and safely as possible.
